WooCommerce builds, speed fixes and migration decisions.
We build, repair and maintain WooCommerce stores, and we tell you plainly when a store would be better off on Shopify.
WooCommerce gives you full control of your code, data and hosting, which is its strength and its cost: every speed problem, plugin conflict, security patch and checkout failure is yours to solve. We work on the layer most agencies skip: hosting and caching that respect the cart and checkout, plugin audits that find the conflict before it breaks a sale, the move to high-performance order storage, payment gateway setup, and a maintenance routine that updates safely on staging first. When the store has outgrown the upkeep, we plan and run the migration with every URL mapped.

How can we help you get found?
Next: name, email and budget. That’s it.
Where WooCommerce pays off, and where it stalls.
WooCommerce is a plugin that turns WordPress into a store, so the store inherits everything about the WordPress install underneath it: the host, the theme, the page builder and every other plugin. That flexibility is why merchants choose it. You can build any product type, pricing rule or checkout field, and you own the database. It is also why stores degrade. Each extension adds its own queries, scripts and admin screens, updates arrive weekly across dozens of plugins, and a single conflict can break the cart for one payment method without any error the owner will ever see.
The pressure points are predictable. Cart, checkout and account pages cannot be served from a normal page cache, so they hit PHP and the database on every visit, and cheap shared hosting falls over during a sale. Order data historically lived in the WordPress posts tables, which slows large stores; WooCommerce's high-performance order storage, HPOS, moves orders into dedicated tables and is the default for new stores, but older stores need a careful migration and plugins that support it. Security depends on updates actually being applied, and updates are exactly what owners avoid after one broke the site.
We work from a staging copy of your store, never production. First we measure: server response on cart and checkout, slow database queries, what each plugin loads and where, and whether orders are HPOS ready. Then we fix hosting and caching rules, remove or replace problem plugins, harden security and set a staged update routine. If the audit shows the store has outgrown WooCommerce, or never needed it, we say so and plan a migration to Shopify with a full redirect map. If WooCommerce fits, we make it fast and keep it that way.

WooCommerce builds, speed and migration, scoped to the result.
Performance and hosting fix
Managed WooCommerce hosting, server and object caching with cart, checkout and account pages excluded correctly, a CDN, image optimization and database cleanup of sessions, transients and revisions.
Plugin audit and conflict repair
We inventory every plugin, remove what is unused or duplicated, find conflicts on a staging copy, and replace heavy plugins with lighter ones or small custom code where that is safer.
HPOS migration
We confirm every plugin that touches orders is compatible, enable sync, migrate orders to high-performance order storage on staging, verify reports and integrations, then switch production.
Checkout and payment gateways
Stripe, PayPal and other gateways configured with wallets, fraud rules and webhooks tested, block-based or classic checkout chosen deliberately, and every payment path tested before launch.
Maintenance and security
Updates applied on staging first, then production, with backups, uptime and error monitoring, a web application firewall, admin hardening and a monthly log of what changed.
Migration or headless plan
A written recommendation to stay, rebuild on WooCommerce, go headless or move to Shopify, and when we migrate, a full data move and a crawled 301 redirect map.
Where WooCommerce setups break.
The problems we are most often hired to fix, in the order they tend to cost money.
Caching the cart and checkout
Aggressive page caching that includes cart, checkout or account pages serves one shopper's cart to another or breaks nonces, which shows up as failed orders and ghost empty carts the owner never sees.
Updating live without staging
Clicking update on dozens of plugins in production is how most WooCommerce stores break. One incompatible extension can take down checkout for hours during business traffic before anyone notices.
Enabling HPOS blindly
Turning on high-performance order storage with plugins that still read orders from the old posts tables can break fulfillment, subscriptions or accounting sync. Compatibility checks and sync mode come first.
Cheap hosting under real volume
Shared hosting that handles brochure sites struggles with uncached checkout traffic. Sales and email sends create spikes that time out payments exactly when the store should be earning the most.
WooCommerce, wired into the rest of the business.
Stripe
Card, wallet and fraud settings with webhooks tested so orders update reliably.
PayPal
Checkout buttons and webhooks configured so payment status matches order status.
WooCommerce Subscriptions
Renewals, failed payment retries and HPOS compatibility checked before any change.
Klaviyo
Order, cart and browse events sent for flows and segments from the WooCommerce integration.
Google Merchant Center
Product feed with GTINs, product types and custom labels for Shopping campaigns.
Cloudflare
CDN, firewall rules and cache bypass for cart, checkout and logged-in shoppers.
ShipStation
Order export and tracking number sync so fulfillment status reaches the customer.
Shopify
Destination platform when the migration analysis says the store should move.
From audit to running it.
Audit.
We review hosting, caching rules, plugin list, theme, database size, HPOS readiness, checkout paths, gateways, security and tracking, then recommend staying, rebuilding or migrating, with reasons.
Fix or build.
On a staging copy we fix speed, resolve conflicts, migrate to HPOS and harden security, or build the new store or migration, and test every payment path before release.
Connect.
We wire Klaviyo, Merchant Center, analytics, shipping and accounting so orders and events flow cleanly, then verify purchase counts in every tool against actual WooCommerce orders.
Maintain or hand over.
We run staged updates, backups and monitoring month to month, or hand over documentation covering hosting, plugins, cache rules and an update procedure your team can follow.
A good fit
- Established WooCommerce stores that are slow at checkout, break after updates or struggle on sale days.
- Stores with custom product logic, pricing or content needs that genuinely benefit from WordPress control.
- Owners deciding whether to stay on WooCommerce or move to Shopify who want an independent recommendation.
- Older stores needing a safe move to high-performance order storage without breaking fulfillment or subscriptions.
Probably not a fit
- New sellers with a simple catalog and no developer; a hosted platform is usually easier and cheaper to run.
- Stores wanting the lowest-cost hosting and no maintenance plan, since that combination is what we get hired to repair.
- Anyone who needs a listed Woo agency partner for procurement, since we are independent and not in that program.
Pricing, plainly.
WooCommerce itself is free and open source. The real costs are hosting, premium extensions and themes, which are usually licensed per year, payment processing fees set by your gateway, and developer time for maintenance and fixes. A store on good managed hosting with a sensible extension list can run lean; a neglected one costs more in lost orders than in invoices. We scope a fixed-price audit first, quoted after a short call and staging access, then fixed-scope fix, build or migration projects. Ongoing maintenance is a monthly plan, month to month after an initial term.

Hiring help with WooCommerce.
- Are you a certified WooCommerce partner?
- No. We are independent and not part of the Woo agency partner program. We build, repair and maintain WooCommerce stores and run e-commerce on our own brands. That means we can tell you to stay on WooCommerce, go headless or move to Shopify based on your store, with no platform relationship steering the answer.
- Why is my WooCommerce checkout slow?
- Cart, checkout and account pages cannot be served from a regular page cache, so they depend on server speed, database size and how many plugins run on every request. Slow shared hosting, bloated sessions and options tables, heavy page builders and plugins loading scripts on checkout are the usual causes. We profile the requests and fix the actual bottleneck.
- What is HPOS and should we enable it?
- High-performance order storage moves orders out of the WordPress posts tables into dedicated order tables, which makes order queries faster and more reliable on larger stores. It is the default for new stores. For older stores we check plugin compatibility, run in sync mode on staging, verify reports and integrations, then switch.
- Should we move from WooCommerce to Shopify?
- Move when the upkeep of hosting, updates, security and plugin conflicts costs more than the flexibility is worth, and your catalog fits Shopify's model. Stay when you depend on custom product logic, content built deeply into WordPress, or data ownership needs. We write the comparison with your actual extensions and order volume before recommending either.
- Is headless WooCommerce worth it?
- Sometimes. A headless front end built with a modern JavaScript framework reading WooCommerce through its APIs can be very fast and flexible, but you then maintain two systems, and many plugins that output front-end features stop working. It makes sense for content-heavy brands with a development team, and rarely for a small store.
